It is a set of CAD detail drawings (13 sheets) for Future Roof Shingle metal roofing. It includes the shingle profile (9.44" x 18.12" overall, 8.625" x 17.375" exposed) with its interlocking sidelap, baselap and headlap, plus starter/rake, valley, gable/rake, hip and ridge, oval/gambrel/ridge, collar, endwall/sidewall, pipe (jack) flashing and side- and endwall flashing details. Each sheet carries its own file name, section and date.
They are intended for designers and installers who need exact geometry for the shingle and its terminations — dimensions, bend angles and the weather-sealed "S" lock interlock. A designer can reference them in project drawings while an installer follows them for starter, valley, hip and flashing conditions so the interlocking, weatherproof connection is achieved.
The starter detail specifies a minimum pitch of 3 in 12 with the interlocking weather-proof "S" lock design, an exposed depth to weather of 8.625" per course, over underlayment on solid sheathing with a starter strip at the eave. The valley detail shows each shingle bent to fit the interlocking side lap, and the hip detail describes forming a hip starter by cutting and bending the shingle's interlocking nose-end tabs.
The set covers collar (10'), endwall and sidewall flashing (10'), a shingle pipe (jack) flashing showing the nose end cut to fit around the pipe with water diverters, and side- and endwall flashing detail where the cut shingle's top edge is inserted into the endwall flashing and held by a nailing clip. These give designers the standard penetration and wall-transition conditions.
Each drawing is a Future Roof Systems detail sheet (Delta, B.C. Canada) with an individual file reference such as AS_SHINGLE_A, AS_START_D, AS_VAL_D and AS_PIPFL_D plus a section and date. They form part of the Architectural Package (which includes a CAD-CAM CD) available from Future Roof customer service for use in design software.
