Future Roof Solid Copper is a premium copper roofing line offered in several interlocking profiles: Copper Diamond Shingle and Copper Shingles & Slates (16 oz.), Copper Rustic Shake (16 oz.), and Copper Mediterranean Tile (20 oz.). The products are made from solid copper — not copper-plated stainless steel or copper foil — and feature hidden fasteners for longevity.
After installation copper begins as a bright, shiny surface and evolves through stages of bronze and subtle green hues before reaching its familiar variegated green patina. Depending on the roof's location, that natural process can take roughly 30–35 years; alternatively, patina-accelerant spray solutions available from local suppliers can turn a new copper roof green in about 24 hours.
The Copper Diamond Shingle, Copper Shingles and Slates can be installed on pitches of 4:12 or greater, and they can also be applied on vertical exterior and interior walls. The diamond shingle is described as versatile enough to be used even as a distinctive copper wall fountain, while the larger shake and tile profiles serve as field roofing panels.
Copper is a higher-initial-cost product, but a copper roof will last a lifetime and resists fire and corrosion from salt water, severe weather and industrial conditions. These 4 ft. shake panels consist of six irregular shake impressions with varying heights of the impressions from 1 3/8 “to ¾“.
